Sandy Sisti of Wild at Heart Images has been a photographer for over twenty years and a lover of wildlife and nature since childhood. Her lifelong love of all things wild led her to relocate from New York to Wyoming to be close to Yellowstone National Park. During her first visit to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in 1994, Sandy felt a special connection to the area and was determined to make the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem her home. Now living in nearby Wapiti, Wyoming, Sandy is able to spend most of her days in Yellowstone and the surrounding areas observing and photographing its wealth of wildlife.
Sandy's work has been published by numerous organizations including National Geographic, National Geographic Kids, Nature's Best, Outdoor Photographer, Wyoming Wildlife, Ranger Rick Jr., National Wildlife, Jackson Hole Magazine, Defenders of Wildlife, VIA Magazine, Buffalo Field Campaign, Yellowstone Association, American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign, Cody & Beyond, Outside Bozeman and various other books, magazines and newspapers both domestically and internationally.
Sandy has received numerous awards and honorable mentions in national photography competitions, including Nature's Best, National Wildlife Federation, World Wildlife Fund, Denver Audubon Society, NANPA and Wyoming Wildlife. In 2016, Sandy's portrait of a bison overlooking Hayden Valley, entitled 'Surveying his Kingdom' won the top pro wildlife prize in the inaugural Nature's Best/Yellowstone Forever photography competition. In April of 2015, Sandy had the privilege of being profiled in OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHER MAGAZINE. The article showcased some of Sandy's most compelling wildlife images and discussed her transition from pharmaceutical executive to full-time wildlife photographer. The magazine also featured Sandy's image of a winter bison, entitled 'Road Warrior' as the cover image for April. Because of the attention garnered by the Outdoor Photographer spread, Sandy was interviewed by KCWY-13 TV and profiled in the local CODY ENTERPRISE.
All images featured here are available as individual prints, matted/framed prints, canvas prints and gallery wraps, metal and acrylic prints, as well as note cards.
