Artist's Description

There's something special about the stallion, Booker Rose. As long as I've known him, he's always been one of the wildest horses at the Peaks, spending most of his time on the far east side of the range where very few people visit. When I look into his eyes, I see a proud, fearless warrior who will always remain a mystery to me.

I've always loved animals and nature and have been photographing both since I was a little girl in Long Island toting around my Kodak Instamatic. My lifelong love of all things wild and furry led me to relocate from New York to Wyoming to be close to the area's wealth of wildlife. During my first visit to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in 1994, I felt a special connection to the area and was determined to make it my home. I now live outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park in nearby, Wapiti, Wyoming. Since I left my corporate job, I spends most of my days in the company of the wildlife and wild horses that call this area home. Currently, most of my time is devoted to observing and documenting the wild horses of...
