During the time of peak spring runoff, over 60,000 gallons per secone of water tumbles over the thundering Lower Falls of the Yellowstone. On clear days, a rainbow often appears in the mist at the base of the falls, making this unforgettable view even more spectacular.

I've always loved animals and nature and have been photographing both since I was a little girl in Long Island toting around my Kodak Instamatic. My lifelong love of all things wild and furry led me to relocate from New York to Wyoming to be close to the area's wealth of wildlife. During my first visit to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in 1994, I felt a special connection to the area and was determined to make it my home. I now live outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park in nearby, Wapiti, Wyoming.
