In late October, bachelor herds of bighorn rams gather together on McMinn Bench in Yellowstone Park. During this time, rams spar with each other in an attempt to establish dominance prior to the upcoming rut.
About Sandy Sisti
I've always loved animals and nature and have been photographing both since I was a little girl in Long Island toting around my Kodak Instamatic. My lifelong love of all things wild and furry led me to relocate from New York to Wyoming to be close to the area's wealth of wildlife. During my first visit to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in 1994, I felt a special connection to the area and was determined to make it my home. I now live outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park in nearby, Wapiti, Wyoming. Since I left my corporate job, I spends most of my days in the company of the wildlife and wild horses that call this area home. It wasn't easy! They were watching a coyote approach from far away so they all stood up and stared. Most of the time I was with them they were all sleeping so good thing the coyote came by!
