Description
Band stallions, Chiracahua (at left) and Wild Bay, have known each other for years, but that doesn't stop them from performing their ritualistic greeting when they see each other. When stallions meet, they put their heads together, nose to nose, sometimes rounding their necks. Then they exchange scents by blowing into each other’s nostrils. One or both of them might squeal loudly, throwing one front hoof in the air. That's exactly what these two did after they touched noses, and then Chiracahua and Wild Bay went back to peacefully grazing, side by side.
